1st Rockville Chess Club Action

Event Information

  • Please join us for our first Rockville Chess Club Action , which will be USCF-rated.

  • Venue. Crown Starbucks in Gaithersburg, at the outside tables. Map on the left

  • Tournament Appointment Holders. Tournament Director: FM Luke Wong; Assistant Tournament Directors: Aloysius Han, Richard Ha.

  • Date and Time. Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 1-6PM.

  • Time control/Format. Swiss, with 4 rounds, G/30 minutes, plus 5 seconds delay. Folks may leave early and withdraw from rounds 2-4.

  • We are waiving collecting USCF submission fees, but active USCF membership required.

  • Please bring your own chess sets, clocks, notation sheets, and pens. We will have extra notation sheets and pens on hand, as well as earplugs.

  • Saturday's weather has a 68 degree high, but dress warmly and bring a jacket just in case. If sunlight bothers you, please also bring sunglasses.
